The traditional way of thinking of this was “mission” or “outreach” and was heavily influenced by corporate business models for delivering effective results. But when dealing with the human soul, this kind of thinking creates an illusion of control over outcomes with an increasing pressure to maintain that illusion. As a community, we made the conscious choice to value something completely different yet still motivate us to keep moving forward.
We call it redemption, and it’s the final value of our color wheel.
Redemption is what happens when the other values are pursued, nurtured, and prioritized. When we surrender to God in discipleship (blue) and cultivate the kind of oneness (red) Jesus has with the Father, you can’t stop the redemption (purple) of the world around you.
“The arc of the moral universe is long, but it bends toward justice”
– Martin Luther King, Jr.
We have no control over it, but we can see clear fruit from it when we simply surrender to the flow of the Spirit. It leads us to justice.
We are a group of families striving to live an authentic faith free from artificial social constructs. We do not go to church, rather, we are the church. For 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, we struggle with and how to grow in this reality. We are Liquid.
